CTLP Episode 6- Cultivating Family Culture with Allison Burr

You guys, this is an episode that digs deep, so put on your thinking caps and prepare to get inspired!  Allison and I chat about all kinds of ways that family culture and theology are not only relevant but important and personal. Once you’re done listening I would love to hear what you think and how you relate to what we talked about!

I met Allison through the Read-Aloud Revival and from that point forward was so impressed and excited by the family ways that she shared on her Instagram feed.

Allison shares how, as mothers, we need to be intentional about creating time at the beginning of our day to prepare our hearts and minds for the work God has called us to in motherhood. It is also equally important that we carve out a time to recharge and refuel within the day – listen to find out one of Allison’s long-time practices for taking time mid-day to refuel both herself and her children!

Thanks so much for the privilege of chatting with you about so much important (and fun!) things. 🙂 So this is funny, from one podcaster to another podcaster: I was reading the top of your post, where you had that quote pulled out on a graphic, and I was nodding my head and saying “YES! That is so true! Good job, Mackenzie!” And then I read the bottom of the graphic and saw who’d said it….Is it terribly sinful to cheer yourself on?? Sheesh.
In my own (pathetic) defense, I had absolutely zero memory of saying that, but at least I was agreeing with myself after the fact, if that’s any consolation! 🙂
Thanks again for allowing me to participate on such a worthy program!
