Bible Timelines- and a giveaway, since I know you’ll want one!

You all have heard me rave time and time again about Grapevine Studies– how they are centered completely on the Word, how they stick in my kids’ heads… how we just love them!

Well Grapevine has come out with something all new- timelines! That’s right, you can work your way through the Bible timeline stick-figure-style!  We have always loved Grapevine for all it’s detailed emphasis, but the timelines are such a wonderful tool for giving us the big picture- the whole scope of what happened in the Bible.  Having that rhythm and sequence of events is a very valuable bit of Bible knowledge I love for my sons to have- I think it really helps you grasp what an amazing love story the Bible is to us!

Rhythm loves drawing his pages every day- he asks to do more (which is VERY rare for anything school related)! He especially loves adding hair on Jesus (don’t ask me why!).

Now, at first I will say that, as always, I wondered if the information was sticking in his chaotic little head. That is until I heard him making up a song one day that included EVERY. SINGLE. EVENT. we had drawn so far! He pretty much sings from dawn until dusk, so it was no surprise that this little recital of all things New Testament occurred to a tune, but it was just such a fun and lovely reminder that he gets it! That he gets it with Grapevine! That Grapevine is sooooooo working for us! (Yeah! Finally- one piece of curriculum I don’t have to second guess!)

Grapevine has come out with both Old and New Testament sets and they each come in a wall version or a book version (if you happen to be short on wall-space like us!) and we just LOVE them! They also have blank timelines, if you should so need them for some other great project you’re doing!

As I’ve also said before, I think Grapevine Studies are wonderful for not just homeschool families but ANY family looking to immerse their kids (and themselves 😉 ) in the Word. So here is a shot to try them out- I’m giving away to one winner a set of Teacher and Student wall timelines in hard copy or ebook format! Wahoooo!

Here is the required entry– hop over to the Timelines page on Grapevine’s site, then come back here and tell me your favorite thing about them!

For extra entries you can-

  • Like Grapevine Studies on Facebook
  • Follow my blog by RSS or email
  • Share this giveaway via Facebook, Twitter, or your blog- and leave me some sort of proof! 😉

That’s it! Four chances- I like to keep it simple! Make sure to leave a separate comment for each!

This giveaway will close next Tuesday, February 7, 2012- so enter while you can!

I was given the ebook formats of the various Grapevine timeline products for honest review. I was not otherwise compensated.

I realy like the Old and New Testament timelines…and I love that the kids can draw the stick figures. If I won this giveaway, I know some ladies at church who would love this for their kids. I’d give it to one of the ladies in my Bible study 🙂 Love and hugs from the ocean shores of California, Heather 🙂

It’s cool how they use symbols and I like that they teach how each story fits into the bigger picture on the timeline.

Am so excited about your review and this giveaway for Grapevine Studies! When I went to their site I was so blessed. As a former foreign missionary and church planter, we often used “sketch board” stick figure drawings to illustrate principles… something we don’t often see in this country,..( except when children in their spare time, play that ‘hangman’ game on paper… not a very positive influence at all… its a terrible game actually).. so I am delighted that this company decided to take it many steps further, and teach the Bible through stick figure drawings for all ages. I have 4 grandchildren that are homeschooled, and 3 others that would also love this. Would love to have it in my home for whenever they visit and also share it with them for their weekly lessons. As I cannot afford anything extra at this time, due to fighting life threatening illness, winning this would be such a blessing… would love to review it ! Thanks for doing this post and introducing us!

I love how simple this makes God’s grand story! To be able to tie it all together from beginning all the way through the N.T. with easy to draw stick figures is so easy for anyone!
