If you have ever considered using Essential Oils, I’ve got a deal for you in honor of my Birthday!

Bold Turquoise Essential Oils event

Essential Oils.  To many I’m sure they sound cooky or new age or like they just plain couldn’t possibly work.  I should know because I used to have my doubts as well.  Now granted, I do lean toward the crunchy side of life, but I was still skeptical over just how powerful Essential Oils could be.

Yet here I am, over a year into life with Essential Oils and they have become a daily part of my being.  They are a constant in our home for not only physical but also emotional well-being, and have become a source of even encouragement as we have read about how frequently they were used throughout the Bible (and that’s about as un-new-agey as you can get!).

Even my husband asks for oils now, which for anyone who knows him is a pretty shocking reality. But he does.

In this post I’m going to give you an overview of how we are currently using oils in our family, but if you would rather just skip to the deal I mentioned above, then feel free to scroll to the bottom of this post.  It’s a good one- you don’t want to miss it!

In honor of her birthday month Bold Turquoise is offering a free diffuser, Highley Reference guide AND Essential Oiler's Handbook to anyone who signs up for Young Living with a Premium Starter Kit! She is throwing in a set of roller ball bottles too if you sign up before April 16th! Its a GREAT month to get started!!

Want a peek into my oily routine?

It changes and evolves to meet my needs, but let me tell you what I am currently using as a part of my daily routine.

Progessence Plus Serum (applied to the arteries in my neck and my forearms)– If you are a woman, this is a MUST!!  Let’s just say balanced hormones and lighter periods void of cramps for starters!  I never want to be without this again!

Frankincense (pre-mixed in a small jar of coconut oil and used on face and legs after a shower)– I use this as my facial moisturizer and also to lift up my mood.  In reality though, there is very little that this oil isn’t good for!

Valor (on my feet and base of my spine)– Helps align my back and neck and emotionally aids me in taking on the day.

Joy (over my adrenal glands- which are just below your bra strap- both front and back)– Obviously this oil helps to uplift you for the day but it also helps combat adrenal fatigue and give you energy for life.  *Sidenote- I hated the smell of this oil when I first got it but started using it anyway. One day I picked up the bottle and slipped a drop or two into my palm and had to double check that I hadn’t grabbed the wrong thing because it, all of the sudden, smelled SO different!  These oils have a powerful ability to change our bodies from a cellular level that even causes us to perceive them differently!

Thieves (either applied to my feet or neck or swallowed in a gel capsule)– I rely on this oil to help keep me healthy or make me healthy when I start to come down with something.  This one is also regularly applied to my kiddos.

Cedarwood (applied to the thumbs)– I use this one with my boys before we do school to help us all focus!

Before bed each night I am also applying a regimen of Valor, Joy, Release, Forgiveness and Frankincense to help me work through some emotional turmoil.  I also apply this combination to my middle son before he settles in for a restful slumber.

Other common oils in our house…

Our Oily Stash is growing which is SO nice!  I love actually having on hand what I need when something happens around here that would best be responded to with something specific.  However, there are those certain oils that get returned to over and over again throughout our days as need arises.  The most common oils used in our house, other than the ones I noted above, are:

  • Lavender
  • Lemon
  • Peppermint
  • Pan Away
  • Peace & Calming
  • Eucalyptus
  • Stress Away
  • and Purification

-most of which just happen to be in Young Living’s Everyday Oils Kit (which is included in their Premium Starter Kit), which is, in my opinion, the best way to get started with Essential Oils and really get a feel for how they can change your everyday life.

So here is the deal…
